Our Story

Westlake Pilates was born from a shared passion for movement, community, and mindful living. Layla and Nicolette met during the same Pilates training cohort, where long hours of practice, study, and mutual encouragement quickly turned into a meaningful friendship. What started as a shared journey through certification soon became a shared vision: creating a boutique Pilates space that feels personal, supportive, and intentionally designed.

Both Layla and Nicolette are working mothers of two, balancing family life with their deep commitment to teaching. That lived experience shapes everything they bring into the studio—from thoughtful programming and efficient, purposeful workouts to an emphasis on sustainability, strength, and self-care that fits into real life.

While they operate under their own individual DBAs, Layla and Nicolette share the Westlake Pilates space as a collaborative home for their practices. Each instructor brings her own unique flavor, perspective, and teaching style, offering clients the opportunity to explore Pilates through different lenses while enjoying the same elevated, welcoming environment.

Together, they’ve created a studio rooted in connection, respect, and high-quality instruction—right here in South Austin.

An Austin native with strong roots in South Austin and a Polestar-trained Pilates instructor with a lengthy athletic background in martial arts, boxing, and soccer. Nicolette draws from her experience in education and movement, blending strength training, injury prevention, and mindful movement to help build resilience, improve athletic performance, and move with confidence in and out of the studio
